Conductive upbringing

By Susie Mallett, 2010

I have decided to make things a bit easier for people who come to my blog, by creating this second site. My initial plan is that it will be entirely about conductive upbringing, but we shall see how it develops.

My wish is to publish articles by different people, by anyone who has a story to tell, questions to ask or information to share.

Of course I shall publish my own writings on conductive upbringing but essentially this space will be for anyone who wishes to send me something to publish.

This can, for example, be something already published, either on another blog or as a paper. It can be a summary of something that has been discussed at a conference or between a group of colleagues, friends or parents. It can be something written especially for the blog about personal experiences,. It can be something that has been discovered somewhere on the internet that can be discussed here on the blog, or it can be a posting full of questions for readers to attempt to answer.

It can be anything that, you the readers, wish it to be.

I also wish to use this site to link to anything that I or readers discover anywhere, online or on paper, about conductive upbringing.

I sowed the first seeds for this blog over a year ago now, then I began planning it online in the spring. Although the layout is not finished and I am having a lot of difficulties getting the gadgets to work, I think it is time to press the button to get it going, and let the rest sort itself out along the way.

If anyone wishes to publish something here all that is needed is to send it to me in an email. There is also opportunity to publish comments that can be moved into the main body of the block when necessary

  1. Congratulations on a spiffing and original initiative, with the potential of growing into very important for the future.

I do hope that people rise to your invitation, and submit bits of their own work/experiences and pointers to where one might find that of others.

By the way, I have just thought of a little offering that I might make. How should I go about this?

    Andrew.

  3. Anne,

I was just about to write to tell you how much I am enjoying your blog too.

I hope this new "offspring" of mine really will work as I hope it will, and that my readers will soon be sending me articles to publish.

Andrew, thank you, you seem to be the first in the queue!

There are two ways to do the posting. You can either make a comment here and I will move it up into the main body of the blog or you can email it to me for direct posting.

  5. Dear Susie,
As you know, I have no internet for a long while and my life became happy and busy since end of March this year. My time is very limited I can spent next to my computer or on the net and blogging is just too difficult. However, to find a little time to read you (and my former blog community's posts)is always uplifting activity.
Thank you to do this. It is very valuable thing. The Makarenko topic is a kinda key point to understand CE. We, who were raised in Hungary before 1989 have had an education at school and many of us at home too what is refered to as socialist education. In Hungary, the life style, things, education were different from the Sovjet but the socialist moral, ethic and collectivisim were on the same base what really 'produced' diferent people. CE was thought to be practiced in that environment. It is not a secret. Since CE has arrived to the west only some people wanted to understend CE as a whole; embeded in an ideology. The ideological conflict between West and Esat never led CE to be taken as it was. Of course, CE was too socialist (maybe communist). Nowadays, the tendency to discover some values of the Eastern European psychology, education is growing. Your new blog will shed light upon the ideology of CE - which anyway has been changing.
Good luck, and wish a lot of readers.
    Laci
